Adult Probation

 If a person enters a guilty plea or is found guilty of an offense the court may suspend jail time and place a person on supervised probation.

 If Parole is granted by the Court the person will serve a parole sentence.  Parole may be a shorter period of supervision but the conditions are more intense.

 Probation/Parole

 Conditions and Regulations of Probation:

All persons placed under supervised probation are required to follow certain conditions and regulations of probation, such as but not limited to:

 1. Obey all laws of the Tohono O’odham Nation, city, county, and State.

 2. Follow and complete all orders of the court

 3. Make scheduled contacts with probation officers and keep them informed of any change of residence.

 4. Person and/or property will be searched at any time.

 5. No drugs or alcohol

 6. Keep contact information current.

 Pre-sentence Report:

When a person is found guilty of an offense(s) the Court may order a pre-sentence report to be completed by the Probation officer.

 This report gives the Court

  •   Additional information on the person,

  •  The offense committed

  •  It gives the person an opportunity to give their side of the incident

  •  It gives the victim the opportunity to give a statement.

The probation officer will provide a sentencing recommendation based on information to the court.
