Adult and Juvenile Community Service
Participants enter the program through court orders from the court, in lieu of a fine, or to complete ordered hours on community service.
Community service is non-paid work done to benefit the community.
Work acceptable for community service hours:
Community service work hours can be performed for:
1. Persons who are elderly or handicapped.
2. Wake and funeral preparations.
3. Community projects and cleanups.
4. Preparations for a feast or community gathering.
Work not accepted for community service hours:
1. Community service hours will not be allowed from individuals performing work for their immediate relatives.
2. Preparing for personal activities, etc. a wedding, birthday party
3. Babysitting
Non Compliance:
Failure to complete the ordered community service hours may result in probation revocation, disobedience to court charge, warrant and/or jail time.
