CHILDREN’S PROGRAM
Mission Statement: “Working together to help our youth become viable members of the Tohono O’odham Nation”.
Children’s Program provides services to juveniles between ages of 10-17 who have committed criminal offenses.
Probation Division
Provide supervision for juveniles court ordered to be on probation.
Any parent/guardian of a juvenile placed on probation is responsible for cooperating and supporting the minor to successfully complete probation.
Conditions and Regulations of Probation:
All persons between the age of 10-17 placed under supervised probation are required to follow certain conditions and regulations of probation, such as but not limited to:

Obey all laws of the Tohono O’odham Nation, city, county and State.

Follow and complete all orders of the court.

Make scheduled contacts with probation officer and keep them informed of any change of residence.

Person and/or property will be searched at anytime.

No drugs or alcohol.

Keep contact information current.

Must be in school.

Must abide by the curfew law- Tohono O’odham Code, Title 3, Chapter 4.
Disposition Report:
When a person is found guilty of an offense(s) the Court may order a disposition report to be completed by the Probation officer.
This report gives the Court:

Added information on the person,
-
The offense committed
-
Gives the person an opportunity to give their side of the incident an

Gives the victim the opportunity to give a statement.
The probation officer will provide a sentencing recomendation based on information to the court.
