Court Officer I

Position Summary:

This is a supervisory position with the Court Officers Division, which involves organizing, assigning, coordinating and supervising work activities for the Court Officers.

Supervision Received: Under the general supervision of the Court Administrator.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate; and
  • Associate Degree in Criminal Justice Administration or Law Enforcement field with two (2) years demonstrated work experience and training in supervisory or management field; (attach certificate); OR
    4 years’ of experience and training in the judicial or law enforcement field which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

-AND-

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License with no major traffic citations within the last three years.
  • Must pass a criminal background investigation and fingerprint check prior to employment.
  • Must enter into an employment contract.
  • A physical examination is required upon employment.
  • Must fulfill the requirements for an officer safety instructor.
  • Must submit a 39-month driving records with the employment application.
  • Based on the department needs, applicants may be required to demonstrate fluency in both the Tohono O’odham Language and English as condition of employment.
